About Forrest Orser

I’ve only lived in two cities and they are both on the St. John River. I grew up in Saint John, NB, and I’ve lived in Fredericton for more than 50 years.

For 33 of those years, I was a reporter and an editor with The Daily Gleaner, Fredericton’s newspaper.

And, for all those years, what I really wanted to do was write poems and short stories all the time. Now, that’s exactly what I get to do.

I was married to Glenda Greene for 27 years. We were on vacation in Venice, Italy, when she passed on Feb. 22, 2025.

I live a few blocks from the St. John River. A long walk by the river is soothing.
